Memory Care

It is the philosophy of memory care at Harvest Homes is to provide each of our residents with a supportive, homelike environment. We dedicate ourselves to serving residents who have Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia with compassion and respect in a comfortable and safe environment. We strive to create a structured, yet flexible, low stimulus environment.

Our memory care program is based on encouraging each person to function at his/her highest capacity but within individual limitations. Through positive reinforcement in teaching and helping to complete the basic activities of everyday living, we are able to enhance the self esteem and quality of living for each of our residents.

• Secured living area with covered deck and fenced yard
• Three hearty, homestyle meals served family style in our dining room
• Assistance with activities of daily living such as showering, dressing, grooming, etc.
• Weekly housekeeping and laundry services
• Specially trained employees provide personal support services designed to promote self esteem in a
  non-threatening environment

Admission Criteria for Memory Care

• Must be free from a lifetime of assaultive and/or aggressive behavior, including hitting and verbal abuse
• Must have a physician’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or of another dementia
• Must be ambulatory with the use of a cane, walker, or wheelchair, and have the ability to transfer with assistance from only one person
